Links Style Golf at Its Best
18 HOLES BY THE SEA
Fast-flowing rivers, the steepest wooded hills, manicured greens and an ancient ruined abbey are just a few of the features that are sure to provide a pleasurable test for every golfer. It’s such a unique course it’s hardly surprising that Ballycastle Golf Course is seen as a hidden gem along the north coast.
“I played Ballycastle during an open competition day. The course was interesting with 5 lush parkland holes followed by 13 links style holes. The parkland portion had receptive greens, mature trees and some beautifully framed tee shots (2nd in particular). The links portion is vista after vista. There are some blind tee shots, several holes requiring you to hang back off the tee and others you can really get after. The short par 3 is particularly challenging. We played with 2 members who were super craic, gave us plenty of course information regarding lines and where not to miss. The course condition was impeccable. The food and service in the club house was also excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone and without doubt we will be back.“
